We are a team of sharp, entrepreneurial individuals who are redefining the movement of goods around the world.Uber Freight is looking for an Account Manager to help develop processes and system improvements that continuously set a higher standard. This individual will participate in the development, implementation, and automation of critical business processes and track the sales process, forecasting, pipeline management, and performance. They will work with customers to continuously seek new solutions for their logistics challenges and handle any issues that may arise.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Manage freight coverage to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, exceeding customer expectations for on-time service and proactively addressing any service issues.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships and communicate consistently and professionally with customers, offering support in challenging situations and relaying service updates.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with carriers, addressing issues like capacity shortages and working to influence capacity during high-demand periods.
- Coordinate load status and appointments, track load progress, reschedule pick-ups or deliveries as needed, and coordinate with carriers for timely service updates.
- Manage detention information, address invoice discrepancies, and work on automating processes for greater efficiency.
- Set up new vendor profiles, update load status systems, and ensure all shipping requirements align with customer and carrier needs.
Basic Qualifications - An undergraduate degree or 2+ years of equivalent experience in a professional experience focused on process and operational improvement
Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems under pressure
