RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is a 100-year-old Family Run Business located in Hunt's Point Bronx, NY. They are a Wholesale/Distributor of fresh Produce and Fruit and expanding. They are looking to bring on an Accounts Receivable Specialist.Summary:The AR Specialist will be tasked with overseeing billing operations and processes in order to ensure collection of account balances. This generally entails billing for invoiced orders, supporting collection efforts, and reviewing account discrepancies.Responsibilities for Accounts Receivable Specialist:- Process accounts receivable transactions
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Prepare cash receipts for processing
- Perform account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage collection efforts and associated functions
- Cash Applications
- Maintain aging reports
REQUIREMENTS:
- An Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred; Work experience in related field ok
- 2-3 years of experience with collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze large sets of data
- High degree of familiarity with accounts receivable functions
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
