Assistant Refrigeration Manager

Description:
The Assistant Manager, Ammonia/Refrigeration Maintenance is responsible for overseeing and supporting the daily operations of the refrigeration maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will ensure the efficient and safe maintenance of all refrigeration equipment within the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Management: Supervise and train refrigeration technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and performance standards.
• Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate and monitor the maintenance and repair of refrigeration systems, including cleaning, installation, and component replacement.
• Preventive Maintenance: Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures, including the Quality Improvement Process and team management concepts.
• Reporting: Provide timely and accurate reports on safety, production, and cost administration.
• Safety: Foster a safe work environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards.

Qualifications

• Trade school diploma or equivalent experience in refrigeration maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with refrigeration equipment.
• Proven ability to use hand and shop tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Strong technical knowledge of various refrigeration systems, including industrial and commercial applications.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manufacturer's instructions.
