A day in the life.
As our Associate Account Executive on the Personal Lines team, you'll be responsible for the following:
The primary function of this position is to provide the highest quality service to customers, and cross sell within the existing book of business. The Associate Account Executive (AAE) will be the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company and designated accounts. The AAE will assist in managing the relationships with clients (business managers and/or individual customers).
Daily servicing of customers will include addressing various coverage issues, contract analysis, exposure analysis, handle and/or direct all the inside service work associated with the clients' accounts, including all endorsement activity, routine coverage questions, problem solving, renewal control, preparation of formal proposals, checking and binding policies.
AAE should have experience in all areas of personal insurance. The AAE will inform the Producer on strategic account issues, claims and other potential problems. The AAE is responsible for overseeing all processes related to renewals, account management as well as insuring Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG's) are used and followed for all insurance transactions.

- Build and maintain constructive and effective relationships with clients by meeting and exceeding client expectations at all times.
- Provide consistent, accurate, timely and pertinent communication to clients through "constant tough" via emails, phone contact and meetings.
- Respond to client inquiries/issues within a 24-hour timeline.
- Resolve/assist with any service or claims issues/questions.
- Assist in design of or independently design insurance plans for clients think about out-of-the-box solutions.
- Assist clients in making appropriate coverage changes.
- Attend face-to-face meetings with the clients to review summary reports, make presentations, and to maintain client relationships as often as necessary.
- Inform and educate clients about coverage, exclusions and exposures; gaps in coverage, stewardship programs; and other relevant information.
- Monitor and review client satisfaction at least quarterly; report findings/issues to Producer of the account.
- Cross sell and/or refer new business leads to appropriate departments.
- Know and be up to date on the utilization of carrier websites, carrier communications, new coverage options and billing procedures.
- Quote new business and renewal options to every client to include:
- Higher limits of liability
- Higher deductible options
- Earthquake coverage
- Earthquake deductible buy back coverage
- Flood coverage
- Excess flood coverage
- Increased mold coverage
- Identity theft coverage
- Umbrella or excess liability/excess uninsured/underinsured coverage
- Inland marine coverage
- Guaranteed replacement cost
- Equipment breakdown coverage
- Enhanced auto coverages
- Review and check policies based on SOG checklists to include proposals, applications, letters, invoicing, summaries of insurance, certificates, evidence of insurance, binders, etc.
- Assist in managing Accounts Receivables for the book.
- Maintain agency EPIC files accurately and consistently documenting conversations in emails and other notes sent to clients.
These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
- College Degree preferred (high school diploma is required)
- Current California Department of Insurance License
- 4-7 years of experience
- Proficient MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with utilizing agency management system, Applied EPIC, preferred.

Work environment & physical demands.- Ability to use computer keyboard and sit in a stationary position for extended periods as well as use office machinery such as fax and copy machines, and telephones.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $49,400 to $105,400. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
