Job Summary
Provide primary support to the Director for the operation, direction, and administration of the NetMath Program as it primarily relates to the business, finance, human resource and public relations functions of the program. In addition to maintaining current operational capacity of the program, the Assocate Director will also be in charge of developing and executing new initiatives in accordance with NetMath's strategic plan.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop operating policies for NetMath, determine staff functions, and manage resources, including staffing, facilities, and budget. Advise the NetMath director and the Mathematics department regarding the overall program. Work with students, mentors, TAs and instructors within the NetMath program as necessary to acheive operational goals.
  • Work with the Mathematics department communications office to manage public relations efforts, website redesign, social media promotions, and market development specific to NetMath.
  • Serve as unit contact with the MATH HR staff for processing: works with Math HR staff on all appointments, waivers, visas, separation paperwork, and other HR issues; Serve as liaison with the Math HR staff for departmental employee issues such as payroll, Union Agreements, labor and employee relations, various leaves such as disability/FMLA.
  • Develop and execute new initiatives in accordance with NetMath's long-term needs, in consultation with Director.
  • Other duties assigned to further the mission of the program.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.

Three (3) years of work experience in Higher Education Administration. Demonstrated experience in business operations, financial planning, and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree.

Five (5) years' of progressively responsible leadership experience in finance and administration.

Experience aligning complex work plans with financial and human resources.

Successful candidates will have the following:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to a diverse audience in an understandable manner.
  • Adapt well to evolving processes and procedures, thriving in environments characterized by change.
Appointment Information

This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5002 - Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the deadline date. The budgeted salary range for the position is $75,000 to $82,000. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.
