Description:
Our firm is currently seeking an experienced Civil Designer. Candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD Land Desktop and Civil 3D. Candidate must possess a full range of drafting skills, including drafting of survey field data and notes, conceptual design development, sketch plans, and full land development approval and permitting sets. Proven ability to design and analysis of storm sewer, storm water management systems and erosion and sedimentation control facilities. The successful candidate for this position will gain knowledge and experience while being mentored and supervised by senior engineering personnel.
Responsibilities:
•Analyzes Zoning Ordinances, Subdivision and Land Development Ordinances, site requirements and other technical documents and reports relative to civil/survey design needs.
• Determines Client criteria requirements and apply them to civil drawings and site-specific requirements and influences.
• Prepare feasibility sketches, site designs, permitting and construction drawings, and applications/forms.
• Coordinates designs received from other project consultants with civil design plans.
• Designs plans and detailed drawings for civil related improvements inclusive of site layout, grading, ADA grading, utility layout, landscape plans, erosion and sediment controls, sanitary sewer and storm sewer layout, and storm water management systems. Assist project managers and engineers in scheduling, analysis of time required to perform civil design tasks and budget management.
• Draft / compile survey data to create detailed plans
Required Qualifications:
• 3-5 yrs experience
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency in concepts of land development, grading, creation of profiles using Civil 3D, storm water management, utility and erosion and sedimentations control plans.
• Must have a strong attention to detail and excellent time management and communication skills.
• Experience with Pennsylvania Land Development processes required, Philadelphia and New Jersey a plus
