RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an AWS Architect in Saint Louis, MO.Responsibilities:Design and Implementation:- Design and implement AWS cloud solutions that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective
- Develop architectural blueprints and detailed documentation
- Create and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
- Develop and maintain Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and other configuration files
- Collaborate with software engineers and developers to design and deploy new applications in the cloud
- Migrate existing on-premises applications to AWS
- Optimize AWS environments for performance and cost-efficiency
- Manage and monitor Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and reliability
- Perform regular upgrades and patches to Kubernetes clusters and related components
- Optimize resource utilization and manage cluster scaling
- Ensure AWS environments comply with industry security standards and best practices
- Implement security measures such as IAM policies, encryption, and network security
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits
- Set up and manage monitoring and logging solutions using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other tools
- Automate operational tasks using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and other serverless technologies
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for AWS environments
- Set up and manage monitoring and logging solutions for Kubernetes clusters using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, network engineers, and application developers
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving AWS-related issues
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience
- Strong skills in AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELK, Java, DevOps
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
