Billing Managed Care Coordinator / BWH Radiology / M-F, 8:30am - 5pm,
Brigham & Women's Hospital(BWH)

Under general supervision of the Billing Managed Care Supervisor and/or Team Lead and Clinical Director of Radiology Scheduling and Prior Authorizations, the Billing Managed Care Coordinator (BMCC) functions as primary interface between the Brigham Health Radiology Imaging Services, BWH Patient Service Center, insurance companies, patients, referring practices, and MGB/BWH Billing staff. The BMCC performs all tasks related to determining insurance eligibility, obtaining insurance authorizations for diagnostic imaging tests through various payor websites, portals, and telephone systems and documents them in the Electronic Health Record (i.e. Epic). The BMCC has direct accountability for authorization related financial outcomes, participates in performance tracking, reconciles denied cases, obtains retro-authorizations, participates in service improvement initiatives, and acts as primary resource to BMCC staff. The BMCC will possess a broad knowledge of principles, practices, procedures, and demonstrate a track record of success.

Full time Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5pm

90 days on-site and remote after successful Training

Qualifications

Working knowledge of billing processes, third party insurance, prior authorization requirements/attainment, excellent customer support, and ability to master multiple computer systems within probationary period.

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or related experience.

2-3 years hospital experience strongly preferred.

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
