About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing Energy team, with a focus on asset integrity engineering for pipeline infrastructure, natural gas, and fuel systems. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities within the pipeline and fuel sectors. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of relevant experience, a strong engineering background, and a passion for ensuring the reliability and safety of critical energy infrastructure. You will work with key clients across the United States, engaging in projects that span multiple markets and geographies. This is a unique opportunity to expand your expertise while contributing to critical asset integrity projects. We are looking for a self-motivated, independent individual who can lead business development initiatives and build long-term relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the asset integrity sector for pipeline infrastructure, natural gas, and fuel systems.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients to understand their needs and align our services with their asset management and integrity goals.
• Lead business development efforts, including proposal preparation, sales forecasting, and strategic planning for asset integrity and pipeline projects.
• Manage and track sales opportunities using CRM tools, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations, to deliver innovative asset integrity solutions that meet client needs and industry standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics in the pipeline, natural gas, and fuels sectors to inform business strategies.

Experience and Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of business development experience in asset integrity engineering, particularly in pipeline, natural gas, and fuel systems.
• Proven expertise in pipeline integrity, inspection technologies, corrosion management, and risk assessment processes.
• Demonstrated success in sales forecasting, CRM opportunity management, and client relationship building.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely and successful execution of asset integrity solutions.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with a passion for enhancing the safety, reliability, and compliance of pipeline and fuel systems.
• Availability to travel for client visits, industry events, and other business development activities at least 50% of the time.

Additional Information

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Business Development Manager with a salary range of $100,800.00 - $159,800.00 .
