The Infrastructure Organization within the office of the CIO focuses on the transformational journey of compute, storage, database, and virtual technology PayPal's supports to run its enterprise of customer, merchant, and internal services. As a Business Operations Intern within the Infrastructure Org, you will generate insights by conducting extensive analyses of PayPal's rich data. In the process, you will develop a deep understanding of the payments business, our site functionality, further strengthen your analytic, planning, coordination, leadership and presentation skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of functional teams within PayPal.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members around strategic planning, to help develop and track key outcomes and milestones
- Create presentations and understand how to make data visually appealing and simple to both navigate and comprehendfor business operations, including drawing upon quantitative and qualitative data
- Identify key metrics and aggregate data from disparate sources to track progress of the business and its highest priority initiatives
- Identify key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data driven decision-making
- Work closely across the matrix with teams like Finance, Business Operations, HR, Engineering, and senior executives
- Lead and participate in special projects/initiatives: innovate and implement large-scale quality improvements to processes and/or systems by conducting data analysis and making recommendations, troubleshooting technical issues, and refining processes around customer support
Basic Requirements: - Can multi-task and execute tasks with only general supervision. Must be detail oriented.
- Experience using Windows, MS Word.
- Advanced with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving ability; self-starter
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated experience, familiarity and ease with handling data sets and crunching numbers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex problems into simpler terms, and effectively influence both peers and senior leadership
- Preferred Experience with Project Management, and/or PMP Certification
- Preferred Experience with understanding Technology Infrastructure, Data Center, Cloud Compute and/or Storage Architecture
Recent Graduate Position Information and Requirements: - This is a Recent Graduate Full-Time position.
- Must have graduated within the past 12 months, or will be graduating by Spring 2025, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Must be able to obtain authorization to work in the U.S.
