Job Summary:
Responsible for purchasing all material required to produce finished goods. Purchases are made in accordance with procedures established by management. Ensures that only those items specified on purchase orders are ordered. Maintains appropriate records and files to document transactions. Provides support to internal customers as well as suppliers. Reports to the BDZ Purchasing / Materials Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and maintains good business relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Interacts daily with production, engineering, quality control, shipping/receiving, maintenance, and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operation.
  • Obtains quotes and initiates purchase orders for materials needed to manufacture products.
  • Manages relationships with key suppliers and negotiates pricing, delivery schedules, and other terms of the contract.
  • Processes requests for price adjustments due to changes in quantity or specifications.
  • Responds to customer inquiries regarding backorders and delays.
  • Keeps accurate records and filing systems to document financial transactions.
  • Communicates with sales department to obtain quotations and place orders for non-stock items.
  • Works with receiving to verify shipment accuracy and inventory levels.
  • Verifies stock levels of raw materials against actual usage rates.


Qualifications:
  • 1 year Experience in procurement within MFG Pro ERP System on a Medical Device environment preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Fluent English speaker.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong math and computer skills.
  • Strong MS Excel experience managing spreadsheets and reports (Macros and Complex Formulas)
  • Analytical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems effectively.
