Job Details:

Hours of Work: 1st shift, 6am to 3pm. Monday thru Friday. Holiday work is required and some weekend work. $25.85/hour & attendance incentive.

Job Description:

This position is responsible to diagnose issues, adjust, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson. This position will perform other duties assigned by Live Haul Manager. All Tyson policies and procedures must be followed to include Animal welfare and Bio-security guidelines. Candidate must have a valid Mississippi driver's license with no more than two moving violations in the last two years to exclude D.U.I. (Driving Under the influence) conviction on his/her Motor Vehicle Record.

Job Requirements:

• Applicant must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Must show 4-years mechanic experience on application
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a company license
• Must possess basic computer skills
• Must possess advanced wiring skills for lights and harnesses on vehicles
• Must possess advanced welding skills
• Must be able to take road service calls as needed
• Must be able to service vehicles. (PM1, PM2) Must be able to perform PM6 - DOT inspections
• Must be able to perform minor loader repairs
• Must be able to perform minor motor, transmission, and rear end repairs
• Must be able to perform major trailer repairs
• Must be able to work in cold, hot and/or wet conditions
