As a Category Management Specialist, you will support Category Teams in delivering both the in-store and online strategy. You'll be the point person in product item set up and merchandising our online SKU assortment while optimizing Product Detail Pages to make our customers shopping decisions easier and relevant. You'll manage item attribute data and drive process efficiency. You'll collaborate, optimize, troubleshoot, and deliver a best-in-class online customer experience by acting as a center of excellence for cross-functional partners.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting (Richfield, MN) and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. What you'll doDrive Category Conversion, Revenue, and Profit through product accuracy, SKU slotting (online merchandising), maintenance, and process optimization.Manage item set-up, and item maintenance processes throughout the item lifecycle with input from cross-functional partners.Support key product launches, asset management, product availability, and Product Detail Page optimization to drive business results. Ensure product data and assets are entered accurately and in alignment with Best Buy's standards to deliver an optimal customer experience through online quality assurance validation.Primary point of contact for cross-functional partners including Category Business Team, Enterprise Product Management, Marketing, Digital Experience, vendors, and Digital Channel Management teams to drive customer focused initiatives.Ability to articulate and share insights, learnings, and recommendations as the category expert.
Basic qualificationsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to influence without authority.Attention to detail and highly organized.Ability to problem solve and optimize experiences.Preferred qualificationsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Access.Associate degree or higher.6+ months of industry experience in E-Commerce, retail, customer service, inventory, merchandising, data management, or web analytics.
