Responsibilities include to perform duties related to system support and maintenance; provides technical support service, repairs and preventive maintenance as necessary to maintain the safe operation of BWH's biomed integrated Systems, and advanced patient care technologies. Works as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide timely and accurate clinical information at the operational support capacity. Helps ensure continuous and reliable real-time operation of clinical information systems (24X7). Interacting with local system teams, IS, PeC and support vendors as needed.
• Provide backup tasks and tactical support for clinical systems to help ensure uptime and consistent and reliable operational state of all integrated supported systems (such as GE Carescape Gateway, MUSE, OBIX, RTLS)
• Perform preventive maintenance to integrated systems, including safety for end user use
• Provide impromptu technical in-services to clinical staff when needed
• Assist clinical and technical staff support in proper operation of equipment as well as guided configuration changes/modifications of existing equipment to meet clinical needs as necessary
• Comply with BWH and PeC maintenance and change control procedures
• Assist in transferring of working knowledge and documentation into central repository such as BWH sfa's and ServiceNow
• Manage workload priorities with or without supervision
• Support, troubleshoot and perform maintenance on advanced patient care technologies, such as the telemetry EA system, CICs, network switches, anesthesia machines, dialysis machines and/or water system
• Complete integrated testing with CEs for device integration, regression testing, or configuration changes in the test environment
• Maintain and support the BWH integrated test environment
• Perform repair, support and scheduled maintenance on advanced patient care technologies
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required: Associate's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Systems or related field; a combination of education and work experience is acceptable.
Preferred: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biomedical, Systems Engineering or related field
