In order to ensure your application is complete, you must complete the following:The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is seeking several faculty members (open rank) to join our Department to complement our current strengths and enhance our research mission. We seek to hire faculty members to expand our departmental mission in computational psychiatry research. Our ideal candidates are clinically- or mechanistically- oriented researcher(s) whose research program focuses on understanding ways to use statistical and or computational approaches in ONE OR MORE of the following areas: (1) to better understand root causes (mechanisms) of mental health conditions, (2) to develop and evaluate tools for more accurate and rapid diagnosis, (3) to evaluate and implement statistical knowledge to enhance knowledge of mental health diseases and care, and/or (4) to evaluate the effectiveness of mental health treatments using diverse clinical trial designs. Interested individuals may also have prior interest and experience in quality improvement and/or evaluation projects. The candidate(s) must have a strong record of external research funding (and/or strong evidence of interest and capability in pursuing such funding and work) and expertise in developing, leading or substantially contributing to education and research programs concerning computational psychiatry.
Faculty will join a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and scientists in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and be co-located with a growing group of physicians, psychologists, and scientists aligned in the goals mentioned above across psychosis, suicide, trauma, depression, addiction, and anxiety. Individuals in these positions are expected to contribute to training, research, and other scholarly pursuits.
