BC forward is currently seeking an initiative to take Content Operations Manager III for Remote - West Coast Location.

Position Title: Content Operations Manager III

Location: Remote- West Coast

Anticipated Start Date: 1/13/2025

Expected Duration: 12+ Months Contract (Possibility of getting an extension)

Job Type: Contract

Pay Range: $50/hr. to Max $60/HR W2

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Summary:

The VR Developer Integrity Operations (DIO) team works closely with Legal, Design, Engineers, Operations, Product and Policy teams to ensure our integrity and privacy programs and enforcement operations are robust, efficient and scalable. We are looking for those interested and passionate about integrity, process and operations excellence, the metaverse, and the developers creating content for it.

The Content Operations Manager will be a critical part of the DIO team and will support the Integrity Strategy Manager, Developer Experience, in ensuring a best-in-class developer experience when it comes to platform requirements. Day-to-day operations include both administrative work (such as reviewing existing contracts, and creating new ones), as well as strategic work (such as identifying gaps in developer education and experience, proposing solutions and implementing them).

The Content Operations Manager is knowledgeable about our data policies and integrity compliance requirements and is obsessed with best-in-class experiences.

They leverage a deep understanding of the developer ecosystems and platform requirements and focus on breaking it down into a seamless and supported experience for third party developers. The ideal candidate is curious, empathetic, principled, detail-oriented, and attuned to changing integrity and privacy requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate creative projects with an external vendor
  • Oversee the communication between internal stakeholders and external vendor, and lead project milestones and deliverables
  • Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to internal stakeholders
  • Analyze program scope, technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
  • Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates, POs and budgeting
  • Work closely with Policy, Privacy, Legal, Developer Relations Engineering, TPMs and Comms teams to identify gaps in resources, education and experience for third party developers
  • Propose solutions for those gaps by working with relevant partners, external vendor, and advocating for platform level solutions to common issues
  • Manage, produce and distribute reports: Voice of Developer, monthly reports, retrospectives, business lookbacks, trends and findings
  • Support the education program's goals by improving the experience, growing engagement and awareness, and actioning gathered feedback
  • Manage postproduction lifecycle of assets: location + maintenance of education course links and resources (G2M plans, docs pages, canned responses, store ops, dev support)
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal escalations, education, and support regarding the developer experience
  • Manage internal operations and process for all developer communications with designated points of contact
  • Provide content scope and strategy for our Trusted Developer Essentials program
  • Help shape and evangelize content standards
  • Develop lightweight, repeatable processes, workflows and content templates that keep the team nimble and successful in a culture that values moving fast and iterating quickly

Minimum Qualifications

  • Understanding of the importance of platform requirements
  • Experience managing confidential data
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
  • Experience with producing metric related reports, utilizing dashboards for insights and data gathering
  • Experience managing and organizing multiple large document files with varying deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, persuasive, and analytical
  • Computer knowledge and various programs such as google suite, excel, project management tools
  • Experience managing creative projects with multiple stakeholders, leading meetings and project milestone plans
  • Experience with supporting and growing programs (education or otherwise)
  • Knowledge of educational experiences, engagement and awareness strategies, and copywriting/communications experience

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience generally supporting compliance programs
  • Experience with working with third party developers or customers
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with data privacy, platform policies, and app review processes
  • Experience working in a global, large-scale, complex, fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity
  • Experience in continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with the VR or gaming industry

    Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, liberal arts, legal or business-related field
  • Experience in developing content
  • Working in compliance or a regulatory environment (preferred)
  • Experience in tech (preferred)

    Typical day in the role:
  • Connect with external vendors on project status, gather outstanding requirements, follow up with internal stakeholders for required inputs
  • Gather insights from the previous month and put into a report; notice trends and provide actionable take-aways to improve metrics
  • Bring up an education opportunity to the team, gather alignment and next steps
  • Make updates to an existing published guide, inform stakeholders
  • Participate in a team activity - regular meeting or Friday VR time as an example!

Must-Have Skills

  • Working independent and collaboratively, Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
  • Program management, analytics and insights.
  • Experience managing creative projects with multiple stakeholders, leading meetings and project milestone plans
  • Knowledge of educational experiences, engagement and awareness strategies, and copywriting/communications experience

Nice-to-have Skills

  • Experience working in a global, large-scale, complex, fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity
  • Worked with third party developers or customers
  • Experience in tech or a fast-paced environment

Years of Experience: 5-7 years
