RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Controls and Compliance Analyst in Newark, DE.Summary:We are looking for a meticulous Controls and Compliance Analyst to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to independently assess the design and effectiveness of controls implemented by Corporate Functions and Lines of Business. The Analyst will conduct Monitoring and Testing activities to ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations. Additionally, they will validate the efficacy of remediation actions and collaborate closely with Compliance and Operational Risk Officers on various engagements.Key Responsibilities:- Perform independent assessments of controls through Monitoring and Testing activities to validate compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations
- Execute issue validations to ensure the effectiveness of action plans implemented by Corporate Functions and Lines of Business
- Collaborate with Compliance and Operational Risk Officers on engagements, including developing test scripts, participating in issue discussions, business meetings, and drafting final reports
- Utilize independent judgment, technical expertise, and regulatory knowledge to perform assigned tasks effectively
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field; Or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Compliance, Internal or External Audit, or Risk functions, preferably within the financial services industry
- Strong understanding of internal controls and ability to assess risk mitigation strategies
- Proficient analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of efficient communication
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines consistently
- Capable of making sound decisions and escalating issues appropriately
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
