Job Description Summary
This position performs a wide variety of technical, evaluative, organizational, and managerial functions for NCJTC and its various programs, projects, and activities. The service population includes local, state, and federal agencies, tribal governments, minority groups, universities, and service organizations. This position requires a strong ability to apply techniques and processes to develop, design, evaluate, and manage NCJTC projects, including training, technical assistance, conferences and operational activities and services.

Job Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Coordination of Training

  • Coordinate the delivery of training, technical assistance, and services for assigned NCJTC projects in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. Assist in planning, budgeting, and allocating resources for assigned projects.
  • Assess customer requests for hosting events or providing services including developing proposed schedules and identifying event locations.
  • Coordinate pre-event site selection, follow-up, and evaluation. This may require travel or the assignment of other staff to conduct this work. Pre-event site selection may involve conducting the site selection bid proposal process including gathering the required documents for event approval and ensuring compliance with required policies.
  • Identify and assign Associates and other staff to support onsite or online events, requested services, or other project deliverables. Coordinate with selected sites and assigned staff for the delivery of these services. Provides technical support for virtual meetings and scheduled events as required.
  • Lead onsite coordination efforts for the delivery of training, technical assistance, conferences, meetings, or custom program development. Coordinate and track Associate instructors, event speakers, participants, and coordinate facility logistical needs.
  • Coordinate the development and update of curriculum including learning objectives, lesson plans, project materials and other applicable resources in conjunction with other staff as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal staff and external customers to develop and implement the training calendar, agendas and program materials for meetings, conferences, training events and other project activities.


Special Projects
  • Assist with preparing monthly, semi-annual, and annual project reports and other outputs.
  • Prepare or assist in the development of special program reports, presentations, promotional materials, and other correspondence as needed.
  • Ensure project statistical and/or performance data for federal and/or state reporting purposes is timely and accurate.
  • Serve as initial point of contact for communications with the service population for assigned training, technical assistance, meetings, projects, technology platforms or other services provided.


Training
  • Develop training materials and lead the training efforts of new staff members on overall procedures as well as changes to processes.
  • Perform all additional required tasks to support the operational activities of assigned projects, programs, meetings, training, conferences, or custom program development.
  • Use project databases, tools, technology platforms, management systems, reports, and other processes, procedures, and systems to ensure efficient operation and foster teamwork to accomplish project goals.


Non-Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Perform other related duties as necessary for effective operational administration supporting the best interest of NCJTC.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary and required for the effective administration of NCJTC and its programs, as well as best interest of the training partners, collaborating agencies, and FVTC.
  • Serve as back up to other program staff as needed.


Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience, PLUS
  • Minimum two years related, relevant occupational experience, AND,
  • Two years supervisory or project management experience, OR,
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.

  • Must adhere to and maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with staff, constituent groups, and clients, including interaction with officials from the highest levels of local, state, and federal governments.
  • Ability to create and foster a team-focused environment.
  • Superior customer service attitude in working with the public and others.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with frequent time-sensitive demands, utilizing excellent time management and planning skills.
  • Ability to successfully work in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to identify problems and needed action without repeated instruction.

  • Ability to maintain poise and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail is mandatory.
  • Extended hours and travel may be required.
  • Excellent verbal, written and technical communication skills, with a diverse client-base.
  • Proficiency in administrative procedures and software applications which includes but is not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Adobe products and project management software.

Work Environment
  • Must be local to NH, although daily work will be completed in a hybrid environment, both in person and virtually.


Work environment may change based upon college needs.

Physical Requirements
  • Sitting: This role requires extended periods of sitting while performing tasks and utilizing computer systems.
  • Mobility: While much of the work is desk-based, occasional mobility may be necessary for attending meetings and events.
  • Lifting and Carrying: The role requires occasional lifting and carrying of light to moderate items
  • Fine Motor Skills: This role may need precise hand movements or manual dexterity for activities such as using instructional technology like computers.
  • Repetitive Motions: Capacity to perform repetitive motions, such as typing, without discomfort or injury.
  • Travel: Some travel will be required.

Additional Information

Pay Rate: $71,300.00 - $83,900.00 per year.

Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data. Note: Internal applicants' wage will be based upon the applicable compensation guidelines.
