Full time Co-Op/Internship typically 36-40 hrs a week

Corporate Social Responsibility Co-Op/Intern

A Corporate Social Responsibility Co-Op/Intern will work with Mosaic's global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team which comprises sustainability, nutrient stewardship and global community investment activities. The team's work is centered around improving the company's environmental and social impacts and contributing directly to Mosaic's brand and its ability to deliver on its mission to help the world grow the food it needs.

What will you do?

  • Work cross-functionally within the organization to support the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda while learning valuable communications competencies and gaining a practical understanding of applying CSR at a global company.

  • Work with the Senior Manager Sustainability in undertaking peer analysis, scenario assessment and materials development in support of the launch of the company's next generation of sustainability targets and reporting practices.

  • Participate in research projects with the Senior Manager, Community Investment and others to uncover best practices for measuring the social impact of agricultural development projects.

  • The Corporate Social Responsibility Co-Op/Intern may contribute to annual and ad hoc reporting activities; help assess global best practices; and collaborate with internal stakeholders for the collection of data and insights.

  • The Corporate Social Responsibility Co-Op/Intern may contribute to the activation of global grants by updating grant forms, making content recommendations for storytelling, facilitating logistics, creating materials, communicating with partners and completing other miscellaneous duties as required.

What do you need for this role?

  • Sophomore level or above pursuing a degree in: Sustainability, Sustainable Development, Business, Ag Business, Environmental Studies, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other relevant discipline

  • 2.75 GPA or higher

  • The selected candidate should have a broad understanding of and curiosity about global sustainability topics, including greenhouse gas emissions accounting. Candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and solid technical capacity.

  • Student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship.

  • 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is required.

  • Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - you will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.

  • Basic computer skills are required.

  • Experience working in a team environment is a must.

  • Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable.

  • Effective verbal communication skills are a plus.

  • Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.

  • Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete thefollowing:Post-offer/pre-placementdrug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
