A CSA is required to immediately report any crime that is reported to them to the University Police who will then review, evaluate, and investigate the reported crime. Annual training is required by the Department of Education for all personnel who have been designated as a Campus Security Authority.

Chief Objective of Position:The Counselor-in-Residence is responsible for the following: assist students in defining and accomplishing personal and academic goals; provide counseling, crisis response support; assist students in overcoming specific personal, educational or behavioral problems that interfere with healthy living and success at the University; support the development of students by helping all students enhance their growth potential and thereby benefit from their academic and social environment; and, offer preventative support by anticipating environmental conditions that may negatively influence student welfare and to initiate interventions that will neutralize such conditions.
Work Tasks:Master's degree in counseling, counselor education, or a closely related discipline, at time of start date.
Course work and appropriate training should include individual and group counseling, clinical theory, psychopathology, and standards of ethical practice.
Course work or training in working with anxiety, depression, adjustment, trauma, identity concerns, substance abuse and at-risk suicide populations.
Experience Required:Experience in providing individual counseling.
Additional Consideration - Experience:Starting at $49,500, commensurate with education and experience.
