Duties: The Data Analyst will assist the PI with analysis of data and writing of scientific manuscripts and grants. Perform a variety of tasks as a member of a translational research team focusing on HIV and TB. The primary responsibities include communicating effectively within a team of investigators, research specialists and the PI as well as data analysis and scientific writing. Data exploration and visualization in R, including but not limited to analysis of cohort study data and graphical and quantitative analysis of 'omics data. Drafting concept sheets for data analysis projects, including conducting background literature searches, sample size calculations, and draft study design, study analysis, and data collection sections. Additional responsibilities include some organizational fucntions required by team, like data cleaning and management.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years data analyst experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Required - Outstanding skills as scientific writer
Required - Expert in R data analysis and visualization
Required - Previous scientific publications in medicine as primary analyst and at least secondary contributor
Preferred - At least 2 years of experience as a medical research assistant
