Our client, a mid-sized bank in the Houston area, is looking for a Director of Accounting. This is a great opportunity for someone with current banking industry experience in accounting management to grow their career. This position is 100% in office and is in the Northwest Houston area.

You would be overseeing an accounting team of 8-10 direct reports. Overseeing corporate accounting duties such as general ledger, account reconciliation, and month-end close process to ensure compaliance with GAAP and bank specific accounting policies. Audit compliance and quality control. Will be doing accounting research, implementing accounting practices, handling controls and not handling reporting duties.

Qualfied candidates must have:

• BBA in Accounting required
• 5+ years of accounting management experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager at a banking institution

Salary range from $150-200K based upon experience.
