Job Responsibilities
The faculty member reports directly to the Department Head. The primary responsibilities of the faculty member are to teach courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instructions, design and develop curriculum, advise and recruit students, participate in activities, and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional RequirementsThis position requires a master's degree in economics or a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in economics courses.
Preferred QualificationsWork and teaching experience in economics is preferred. Proficiency in a learning management system such as D2L is also preferred. Successful candidates will have previous experience in teaching, teamwork, leadership skills, goal setting, workplace personal communication, and online instruction or web experience. Ability to teach varying schedules at various locations, utilizing technology in instruction and various teaching methods. Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
