Engineer Lead

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of the following PulsePoint location. 740 W. Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Engineer Lead will develop code and assist team members with code review and infrastructure design solutions tied to big data on the cloud.

How you will make an impact:

• Generate process flow to support development documentation.
• Write unit test cases to support code.
• Assist with system testing, integration testing, functional testing and regression as part of the product.
• Provide detailed documentation of system functions.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study. Seven (7) years of experience in related occupation(s).

Additional Requirements:

Seven (7) years of experience must include:

• Seven (7) years of experience working in Information Technology.
• Five (5) years of experience with Spark, Scala and Python.
• Four (4) years of experience with Java, J2EE and Spring Boot.
• Three (3) years of experience processing big data in the cloud using Amazon AWS - S3, AWS Glue, Serverless Framework, CloudFormation, EMR, AWS Lambda, Athena, DynamoDB, Step Functions, SNS, SQS and IAM.
• Three (3) years of experience in processing using Big Data components including EMR on EC2 (AWS), HIVE, Spark, and Scala.
• Three (3) years of experience with Agile methodology.
• Two (2) years of experience working with CI/CD and configuration management tools including Jenkins and Bamboo.
• ALTERNATE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience.
