We are looking for a customer-focused Facilities Attendant/Office Assistant to provide facilities and office-related support to our main office in Southfield, Michigan. In this role, you will keep Sun's workplace in a clean and orderly condition; receive, sort and distribute incoming mail and packages to perspective team members; assist with the set-up/tear-down of company events and meetings; and maintain the hotel desks. Additionally, you will provide backup to the Doublewide Cafe and lobby as needed.
JOB DUTIES
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail. Collect outgoing mail for transfer to post office/delivery services. Accept outside deliveries from logistics companies and ensure deliveries are taken to respective contact(s). Maintain supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipate requirements, place orders, verify receipt, stock items, and deliver supplies to necessary work areas. Maintain office equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshoot failures, call for repairs, and monitoring equipment operation. Assist with moving team members when workstation/desk moves are required. Assist Events team with set-up/tear-down of meetings and events. Perform daily general cleaning of all conference rooms, kitchens, and common areas; ensure those areas remain presentable and organized, and adequate supply levels are maintained. Ensure hotel desks/offices are cleaned daily and remain presentable for use. Act as an ambassador for Sun's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Greet customers and guests entering lobby area; answer questions, route them to the appropriate individuals, and provide exceptional customer service. Serve team members by backing-up baristas to take and prepare beverage orders while maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards. Perform print/copy/mail projects. Other duties and special projects as assigned. REQUIREMENTS - High School Diploma or GED
- Prior facilities or office experience, preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation throughout the working day
- Ability to understand and carry-out verbal and written instructions
- Knowledge of standard methods and practices of janitorial duties
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to follow safety procedures while performing duties
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Demonstrated ability to interact well with others and provide exceptional customer service
- Intermediate computer proficiency including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, email and internet
