Volt is immediately hiring for Field Installation Technician IV, remote in CA. Central Office Experience is key!
As a Field Installation Technician you will:
- Install telecommunications equipment at customer sites.
- Read, interpret, and implement job specifications.
- Run, secure, and terminate cable. Assemble frames, superstructure and miscellaneous hardware.
This is a
full time , contingent opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have: - Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Ability to read simple mechanical drawings.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Ability to lift up to a maximum of 75 pounds.
- Ability to climb a ladder. Professional appearance and manner.
- Ability to travel extensively (including overnight) both locally and nationwide.
- Good customer service and administrative skills.
Ability to identify different colored wires.
Required Experience: - Experience installing telecommunications equipment at customer sites.
- Ability to read, interpret, and implement job specifications.
- Past experience running, securing, and terminating cable. Assemble frames, superstructure and miscellaneous hardware.
- Ability to perform required testing of installed wiring using specifications and drawings.
- Experience labeling and stenciling equipment and cabling. Install and connect basic AC wiring.
- Experience running and terminating DC power cabling.
- Related Central Office experience.
Pay rate: $20-$30 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
