Position Title: Financial Analysis & Controls

Location: Redmond, WA

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 10 Months Contract

Job Type: FULL TIME Contract

Pay Range: [65.00/hr.] - [70.00/hr.]

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description

• The main functions of a Financial Analysis & Controls are to gather and analyse financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical Financial Analysis & Controls is responsible for analysing and communicating financial information for clients.
• The purpose of this team is non-profit, tech for social impact (TSI). Support budget management and program management tasks.
• This role will contribute to not only experienced with the monthly OPEX and month-end close processes but also possesses strong communication skills. Ideally, the candidate should be familiar with the Mercury finance reporting system to reconcile expense reporting, publish OPEX reports to budget owners, and collaborate effectively with budget owners to establish a forecasting process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.
• Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business, industry and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
• Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability and future trends in investment risks.

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Basic ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
• Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.
• Basic knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
• 5-7 years financial and/or accounting experience required.

Top 3 Skills Required + Years of Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years experience with Excel.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience with Project Management.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience with Budget Management.
