Position: Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician

Reports to: FSQA Supervisor

Location: Waterloo, IA

Schedule: 2nd shift (Rotating schedule): Either 12:30PM -10:30PM, 1PM - 11PM, or 2PM - 12AM

This position pays $24.60/hour and is paid weekly!

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management; any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in food manufacturing required or other QA type experience.
  
• Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
  
• Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more).
  
• Supervisory: None
  
• Travel: None
  
• Schedule: 2nd shift (Rotating schedule): Either 12:30PM -10:30PM, 1PM - 11PM, or 2PM - 12AM
  
• This role is on-site at our Waterloo Plant, IA.
  
• Must reside in the United States.
