Lamp Rynearson, Inc., a civil engineering, survey, planning, landscape architect, and consulting firm with a solid reputation for its recognized clients, projects, and people, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of General Aviation Project Manager in its Omaha, NE or Kansas City, MO office.
As the General Aviation Project Manager in our Transportation Group you'll play a crucial role in driving business growth by leveraging existing relationships, and the development of new clients and projects. You'll use your deep understanding of the general aviation industry, knowledge of planning, grant applications, and more to meet clients' objectives and solve their challenges.
Qualifications include... Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, aviation airport management, or transportation planning from an accredited college or university 5+ years of General Aviation experience required, Registered Professional Engineer licensure a plusKnowledge of planning, grant applications, including FAA Advisory Circulars and FAA Airport Improvement Program Handbook. Design and specifications a plusExperience in research and development of new clients and projects in General AviationAbility to establish and maintain client relationshipsComputer skills in Word and PowerPointAbility to work independently, as well as, part of a teamStrong problem-solving skills. Capable of defining the problem, identifying alternative solutions, presenting recommendationsExcellent communication skillsAbility to plan and deliver effective oral and written presentationsStrong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulationsAbility to handle and coordinate multiple tasks and projects
Duties & Responsibilities include the following:Play a crucial role in driving business growth by leveraging existing relationships and the development of new clients, and projects in General AviationDevelop General Aviation Airport Master Plans, and ALP's in conjunction with Group LeaderAssist in development of provable construction costs estimatesPerform site visits to monitor project progress and to ensure construction per the contract documents as neededTravel required to meet with clients as needed. General area of travel includes Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri with possible overnight stays.Work with project design teams regarding reports, specifications, permit applications, and cost estimatesCoordinate with Project Construction Engineer during project design, bid and construction phasesAssist Construction Administration Department in negotiation and preparation of major change ordersMake or assist in public presentations and lunch and learnsAssist in project planning and scheduling with the Group LeaderAssist in monitoring of project progress as required to assure meeting of deadlines in conjunction with the Group Leader
