ECS is seeking an Intermediate Budget Analyst to work in our Huntsville, AL office.

Job Description:

ECS seeks an Intermediate Budget Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville, AL. The position is fully remote but might require occasional onsite work to support customer meetings of classified work. The analyst will:

• Manage and send funding documents to performing activities in an expeditious manner.
• Plan, collect and report financial execution metrics.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Manage current and prior year funds efficiently to allocate resources to meet mission priorities, develop and maintain accurate financial tools, reconcile invoices, and sweep unliquidated obligations.
• Work with cost estimating and engineering teams to create realistic obligation and expenditure spend plans for the life of the funds.
• Analyze, track, and manage program budget shortfalls and surpluses to realign and rephase the total portfolio budget to minimize and avoid reprogramming actions.

Salary Range: $70,000-$100,000

• SECRET DoD Security Clearance required.
• Capable of executing tasks associated with budget execution for complex weapon systems.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team in solving complex problems.

Desired Skills:

• Ability to multi-task, effectively manage time, and work under firm and quick turn-around deadlines.
• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word proficiency
• Planning, problem solving, data collection, and analytical skills.
• DFAS experience.
