POSITION: 2025 Summer Intern
LOCATION: Travel expected throughout Southern AgCredit Territory
SALARY: $15 per hour
DURATION: 8 weeks

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Full-time intern position beginning June 2nd and ending on July 25th. Interns will travel to various branches to experience first-hand the day-to-day duties of Southern AgCredit employees. Reliable transportation is required. This temporary position is not eligible for benefits.
JOB SCOPE:
Interns will learn the components of the lending process, from meeting the customer and taking the application, through credit analysis and decision, to appraisal and loan closing. The intern will work with local staff and regional specialists to experience first-hand the level of service and personal relationships we have with our customers. The intern will also learn the operational and financial reporting aspects while working alongside administrative personnel. This internship will provide you the opportunity to build a foundation for professional growth with hands on experience. Travel away from home branch will be paid by Southern AgCredit.
In addition to the areas noted above, the students will be asked to engage in a project as defined by Southern AgCredit that will be developed throughout the 8-week period with a final report and presentation to the Executive Management Team on the final day of the internship.
EDUCATION and SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
This position is available for junior or senior under-graduates pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Agricultural Economics, Accounting, or related field.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be proficient Microsoft Office products, ability to establish priorities, and possess analytical and organizational skills.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Frequent interaction with relationship managers, credit officers, departmental staff, and management. Occasional interaction with CEO.
