International Affairs is a guide and champion for campus internationalization at the University of North Texas. It is our mission to support the university's global endeavors and international initiatives. This position will be a part of the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) team. The ISSS Office at the University of North Texas provides compassionate immigration advice and support to UNT's 12,000 international students and scholars.
Position Overview
This role will be responsible for issuing I20 immigration documents and advising F1 international students on immigration topics such as full-time enrollment, work authorization, and general maintenance of immigration status. This position will report to the Assistant Director of International Student Services and work closely with our F1 student service team.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree and two years of office administration experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must be eligible to serve as a Designated School Official under U.S. Department of Homeland Security requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred; At least one year of higher education experience; relevant experience providing customer experience to stakeholders of diverse backgrounds; general knowledge of F1 immigration rules and regulations; experience with PeopleSoft or another database software.
