Job Title:IT Senior Program Manager - Resource ManagementDepartment:Health System Shared Services | Project Management Office

Scope of Position

Responsible for team leadership as secondary support and backup to the IT PMO Associate Director. Provides strategic program and portfolio management on the most visible and complex healthcare IT initiatives for the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC). Builds long term relationships and forms interdisciplinary teams that include participation from patient care, research and education mission areas. Functions with full authority for the execution and delivery of strategic program objectives and deliverables; providing recommendations on scope, schedule, resources, budget and risks. Mentors PMO project management staff on both project and career growth and makes development recommendations.

Position Summary

Review project/staffing pipelines, including timelines, and resources, to ensure operational efficiency and project success. Drive scheduling process to prepare for future deadlines; balance capacity with open needs and proposing solutions to maximize utilization. Use tools to generate and analyze weekly reports and key business metrics. Ensure consistency by implementing resource management processes and teaming with personnel to ensure compliance. Responsible for identifying potential resourcing risks/issues and leading mitigation plans with IT leaders. Stay current in understanding the organizational matrix and working with IT Leads to estimates and build end-to-end resource plans. Support Project Managers in ongoing resource management efforts by reallocating resources, adjusting goals or requirements, or assigning new people to the team. Directs all phases of enterprise-wide/high complexity programs and projects from initiation to close using a combination of relevant development life cycle methodologies, skills, tools and techniques. Understands the strategic integration points across applications, technologies, infrastructure and the business customer and creates synergy between projects. Manages competing demands of scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and organizational change management.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 8 years of previous IT management experience.
