Lab Technician

Gold Standard Diagnostics (GSD) is searching for a Lab Tech to work in Davis, CA.

Lab Tech responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Correctly run manual assay testing using Western Blot and ELISA techniques to produce reliable and precise data
• Carry out routine tasks accurately and follow strict methodologies to carry out analyses
• Effecitvely communicate test reults to Manager
• Maintain R&D Inventory
• Gather & prepare samples for laboratory testings and analysis
• Organize samples and reagent kits in refrigerators and freezers used specifically for R&D purposes
• Clearly document work, including procedures, observations, and results
• Operate sophisticated laboratory equipment

The ideal candidate would possess :

• General Laboratory knowledge (use of equipment; pipetting; personal safety, general lab practices)
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Ability to read scientific materials and instructions
• Preferred understanding of statistical methods and probability
• Knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations (Cgmp and cGLP) and International Standards (ISO) pertaining to medical devices
• Must be able to effectively communicate results with manager
• Ability to record data, make computations, and analyze results
• Must be able and willing to adhere to corporations personnel policies and practices, including attendance and punctuality requirements.

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

• Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in biological science or a related field
• At least 1 year of previous work experience in a similar position required
• Must be willing and able to learn other software programs as needed
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
