Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test firmware for 5G/4G cellular and IoT devices.
- Prepare and maintain specification, design, and test documentation.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in cellular and IoT technology and integrate them into our products.
- Debug and resolve firmware issues related to cellular connectivity.
- Understand hardware, firmware, and software interactions and collaborate with other engineers across disciplines.

This job may be for you if... - B.S./M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- Typically, 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Embedded systems firmware development including:
- Real-time firmware design
- C/C++ and assembly languages
- Low level RTOS or Embedded Linux Development experience
- Embedded firmware architectural design experience
- IoT and cellular development experience including:
- Proven experience in firmware development for cellular devices and connected device drivers
- Strong knowledge of cellular technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G) and IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP)
- Familiarity with industry standards and protocols (e.g., 3GPP, GSMA NA)
- Experience with regulatory body testing process (e.g., FCC, PTCRB)

The salary range for a Lead Firmware Engineer is $83,400-$130,200. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with differing experience. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
