Job Title:Learning and Development AnalystDepartment:Libraries | Executive Office

The Learning and Development Analyst is responsible for contributing to the development of policies and programs to attract, retain, and promote a highly skilled and effective workforce, enhancing the overall growth and development of University Libraries. The Analyst works with leadership and colleagues throughout the Libraries to ensure that organizational development practices are understood and supported.

The Analyst designs and executes a comprehensive training plan to help library students, staff, and faculty grow their professional knowledge and abilities. Develops training schedules that educate the library community on recognizing, accommodating, and appreciating individual strengths and bridging these strengths back to the mission of the library.

To measure the effectiveness of the Libraries' organizational development programs, services, and initiatives, the Analyst determines and implements measurement strategies and performs data analysis in partnership with colleagues who specialize in assessment efforts. Prepares data reports and presentations for the library community about the state of organizational development activities. The Analyst attends university-level meetings and programming and keeps current on organizational development programs and developments by maintaining contact with others serving in a similar role.

Additional Information:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in organizational development, human resources, education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in organizational development, training, and learning program design and implementation.
  • Proven experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating professional development programs, events, and/or services.
  • A deep understanding of organizational development principles and the ability to apply these within a complex organization.
  • A successful track record of collaboration with diverse teams using a positive and engaging approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, network, and collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and present workshops, classes, information sessions, and individual/group meetings.
  • Proven success in leading projects and contributing effectively in groups and committees.
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing, and utilizing assessment data to drive decision-making.

Desired Education and Experience:

Familiarity with academic library topics and trends.

The posting range for this position is $24.52/hr to $32.21/hr.
