Our client is hiring a highly skilled and motivated Linux Automation Engineer to join their team. This pivotal role is responsible for the development, architecture, and governance of Linux and Unix Server solutions within a dynamic customer environment. Collaborating closely with Architecture and Engineering teams, as well as Government sponsors, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing new services and integrated solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive day-to-day system data validation, workflow improvements, and efficiency enhancements. Additionally, presenting innovative concepts, ideas, and automation solutions to senior leadership will be a fundamental aspect of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and architecture of Linux and Unix Server solutions within the customer's environment.
- Collaborate with Architecture and Engineering teams to develop and implement new services and integrated solutions, focusing on customer-owned Linux/Unix and Automation environments.
- Conduct day-to-day system data validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of the systems.
- Identify and implement workflow improvements and efficiency enhancements within the Linux/Unix server ecosystem.
- Present concepts, ideas, and new solutions involving automation to senior leadership, effectively communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with Government sponsors to understand requirements and ensure solutions meet or exceed expectations.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in Linux/Unix and automation technologies to continually improve service offerings.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to established architecture and governance frameworks, maintaining high standards of security and performance.
Qualifications: - Proven experience in Linux and Unix Server administration and architecture.
- Strong background in automation technologies and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conceptualize and implement new solutions.
- Experience presenting technical information to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Architecture, Engineering, and Government sponsors.
- Knowledge of system data validation techniques and best practices.
- Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest in Linux/Unix and automation technologies.
- Understanding of architecture and governance frameworks relevant to Linux/Unix environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
