Eurofins is searching for a Manager of Contracts Administrator, Payor Relations & Contracting in Kansas City MO.
The Manager and Contracts Administrator, Payor Relations & Contracting will manage existing payor contracts and seek new payor contracting opportunities to maximize overall coverage and reimbursement rates for all Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics entities. Provide payer analytical support that is incorporated into payer relations, organizational, and sales strategies. Provides guidance and direction for all payer interactions from initial contracting efforts, contract execution, as well as, contract reimbursement assessments and audits. This position will identify and manage projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, gaining cooperation of others, monitoring progress, and problem solving.
Manager of Contracts Administratior, Payor Relations & Contracting responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Applies Best Practices in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Leads 3rd party payer contract negotiations and all other contract related discussions with payers that the VP of Payor Relations and Contracting directly assigns.
• Develops drives and maintains a contracting strategy for the organization that is cognizant of current market trends and aligns incentives among companies within the Eurofins network of companies.
• Manages and negotiates national and regional contracts to ensure companies' objectives are met in a timely manner.
• Operates at the direction Vice President, Payor Relations & Contracts to find and realize joint contracting opportunities with other Eurofins entities
• Analyzes applicable contracts, associated documents and proposed fees, and negotiates financial terms of contracts.
• Analyzes existing terms to determine if re-negotiation is warranted.
• Leads payer petitioning endeavors to overturn negative coverage decisions, or to ensure positive coverage decisions for new tests.
• Serves as the companies' conduit for each 3rd party payer.
• Coordinates negotiations with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Directs and performs analysis necessary to ascertain payer compliance with contractual obligations.
• Prepares and coordinates financial and utilization analyses to develop recommendations for compensation methodologies and rate proposals.
• Monitors provider network to identify contracting needs and opportunities.
• Performs analysis of contracting needs including assessment of claims and utilization data to identify areas for new and re-negotiated contracts.
• Assists in the maintenance and development of applicable strategies and financial reporting.
• Assists in development of presentation materials for internal and external meetings.
• Analyzes, develops, maintains and administers provider contracts. Ability to complete analysis "hands on" if necessary or lead team resources if available.
• Pursues disputes with 3rd party payers.
• Creates tracking tools that aid in renewals, decision making and standardization
• Develops strong relationships with payers and health plans to ensure streamlined problem resolution and maximized opportunities
• Ensures highest level of customer service to payers and health plans
• Develop post-contract execution, payer reimbursement reports for internal audit purposes
• Helps design and implement improvements to established or proposed reimbursement process flows in an effort to maximize potential revenue
• Stays apprised of current industry trends such as payer acquisitions, expansions
• Capable of operating in an independent capacity, as a self-starter
• Identifies opportunities to increase revenues or reduce costs
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate would possess :
• Prefer experience in managed care contracting related field or comparable in the diagnostic market
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Administration.
• 5+ years' experience analyzing data/producing reports and working with large data sets
• 5+ years' experience negotiating health care contracts
• Ability to travel up to 20%
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Kansas City MO are encouraged to apply.
