About the Role

The Gap Technology team is seeking an established and operationally strong leader for the role of Manager of IT Operations and Vendor Management. This crucial position will play an influential role in shaping and supporting Gap's Vendor Management Office (VMO), operational processes, and cost management.

This role will be responsible for supporting our vendor management function with the objectives to reduce costs, improve vendor performance, processes, relationships, and to manage risk across Gap's organization and vendor landscape.

What You'll Do

  • Support day to day activities under Vendor Management Office
  • Assist in development, implementation, and lead management of tools, processes, and strategies through strong collaboration with senior leadership, key internal stakeholders, and vendors
  • Partner and guide key stakeholders in the assessment of vendor capabilities and monitoring of vendor performance through Quarterly Business Reviews and contracting activities
  • Build strategic partnerships across brand or functional leaders to proactively identify and execute vendor strategies that align with Gap's business objectives
  • Collaborate with senior Tech leaders to monitor and report on key operational processes related to service levels, quality, utilization, and business value
  • Develop enhancements to current process and track governance around risk, contractual, financial, and IT talent management
  • Proactively identify and support tracking of Tech cost optimization opportunities by reducing vendor footprint, maximizing value, and monitoring consumption
  • Work with Tech leaders to identify and track cost-saving opportunities in various areas, such as hardware/software/SaaS spend, purchased services spend, contingent labor spend, and cloud spend

Who You Are

  • Requires a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Proven ability to present, influence, and collaborate cross functionally in a matrix environment while effectively managing multiple challenges
  • Experience in managing strategic vendor relationships, and successfully aligning vendor strategies with organizational goals
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in IT operations management, vendor management, and IT performance improvement
  • Strong program/project management skillset, high accountability, and a keen understanding of the Tech industry landscape
  • Experience with program and project management, business delivery, or management consulting role owning end-to-end delivery
  • A general understanding of Tech P&L

Salary Range: $112,200 - $161,800 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
