The Opportunity

Seacoast Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is launching a walk-in, no appointment necessary orthopedic injury clinic at our Somersworth location. The goal? To provide urgent, same-day visits for patients, provide appropriate evaluation and treatment, and establish needed follow up or surgical care during the visit. We also offer radiology services on-site.

We are seeking a Full Time, 40-hour, Medical Assistant, EMT or Orthopedic Technician to join our fast-paced team in our newly established Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic! The operating hours of the walk-in clinic are Monday through Friday 8:00am-8:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am-1:00pm. This opportunity has the scheduling option of 4, 10-hour shifts or 3, 12-hour shifts weekly, along with some Saturday coverage required on a rotating basis.

This individual will be responsible for assisting Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with patient care to include cast/splint application and removal, instruction of all durable medical equipment, crutch training, patient education on casting and splinting as well as triaging patient concerns. As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team.

We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned practices and locations; however, you may also be asked to float to other departments in the WHP system when appropriate and needed during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances for cross-coverage purposes and to ensure adequate coverage and support.
