Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Medical Staff Coordinator:

- Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Communicate sensitive or negative information professionally to physicians to ensure compliance
- Prepare for meetings, including taking and distributing accurate meeting minutes
- Interpret and apply data and instructions provided in various formats
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team setting, managing interruptions and multitasking efficiently
- Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of patients' protected health information (PHI)

Required Skills for Medical Staff Coordinator:

- Proficiency in medical terminology, procedures, and equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced time management and organizational abilities
- Expertise in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and related systems
- Knowledge of Joint Commission Medical Staff Standards
- High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant experience
- Work onsite in Castro Valley, CA
