About the Role:

The National Accounts Excess Casualty Division of Everest, a member of the Everest Group, Ltd. (Everest) is looking for a Head of National Accounts-East Region to join our New York office.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Key responsibilities for the position include new and renewal business production underwriting of National Account Business.
  • Effectively preserving and enhancing profitability through pricing discipline, competitive analysis and the development of performance metrics and controls.
  • Management over a team of Excess Casualty underwriters in Northeast regional offices, some of which may be remote.
  • Developing new business and renewal account strategies for profitable production.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers to facilitate new and renewal business.
  • Adhering to underwriting guidelines and protocols.
  • Driving top-notch service and collaboration with other products lines to provide full product support to the client.
  • 25% Travel is required to visit clients/ brokers.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or above and insurance certifications.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in underwriting and managing umbrella and excess casualty.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong producer following in retail distribution channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new business.
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and computer skills
  • Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced, team-oriented, working environment.
  • Customer-oriented approach
  • Ability to travel occasionally by air/rail as needed to attend training, meetings, or other work-related activities.

For NY Only: The base salary range for this position is $220,000 - $280,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
