Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Tubular Products - Decatur is seeking to fill the position of Maintenance Utility on each rotating shift. This role supports the maintenance team in safely maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment. This is a development position with the goal of moving to a shift maintenance position within two years.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Safe work record and commitment to continuous improvement
- Proven self-starter with demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Experience in maintaining and repairing mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Willing to work scheduled/unscheduled hours on days or shift rotation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two year technical degree (Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance) or equivalent.
