Job Description:

- Compile, create, and disseminate reports on monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis for Carrier Enforcement staff as well as state and federal governmental agencies.
- Process bills to be paid.
- Maintain officer roster.
- Order office supplies, uniforms, and other supplies as needed.
- Compile vacation requests.
- Prepare purchase orders, assist with vehicle inventory, maintain inventory of bar-coded envelopes, forms, citations, and permits.
- Validate timesheet entries for all Carrier Enforcement staff.
- Serve as the first line contact for phone calls to the division.
- Be an integral team member and assist with daily functions and projects as requested.
- Other duties as directed by division leadership.
Requirements/ Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; research; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency OR experience in performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including the use of personal computers and office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Experience working in the criminal justice field such as for courts, law enforcement, or county attorneys. Two years' experience working with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent telephone skills are essential.

Applicant must successfully complete an extensive background screening prior to being employed, which includes completion of a Personal History Questionnaire. Selection process will include an interview.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Office procedures, administrative work assigned to the position, sources of information pertinent to the assigned work
- The principles and practices of record keeping.
SKILL IN:
- Strong and effective communications skills including knowledge of English grammar, spelling, etc.
ABILITY TO:
- Communicate in person and by telephone, computer, email, or correspondence to exchange information and ideas
- Work independently with limited supervision
- Gather, compile, generate, and disseminate information
- Interact and maintain a close working relationship with diverse individuals and groups to include: law enforcement agencies, agency administrative personnel, and the public is essential
- Learn the organizational structure, mission, and activities of the State Patrol
- Learn agency policies and procedures pertinent to the work assigned
- Understand work contracts and grants and apply that knowledge to timesheet entries
