Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Assists the Food Kitchen Manager.
- Oversees food service provided to human subjects participating on dietary intervention feeding trials.
- Oversees day-to-day operational needs of the food laboratory.
- Trains all food laboratory staff.
- Maintains regulatory compliance and infection control practices.
- Maintains communication with participants and staff regarding the level of services they receive from staff and promotes participant satisfaction with nutritional services. This information is
- relayed to the investigative team whenever necessary.
- Assigns staff and workload, respecting changing priorities in daily operations.
- Actively collaborates in the process of menu development for study protocols.
QualificationsEDUCATION
Required- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required- 2 years of food service and/or nutrition management experience.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Preferred- ServSafe Food Protection Manager
SKILLS
Required- Proficient communication skills
