The University of Miami's Frost School of Music is accepting applications for a Part-Time Lecturer in Contemporary Media (Electronic Musical Instrument) for the Modern Artist Development and Entrepreneurship department for the upcoming 2025 Spring Semester. The principal duty will include teaching private lessons to contemporary media students at Frost. Additional teaching duties may be assigned as needed based on skills and background. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
Qualifications:
● DAW proficiency in common DAWs such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, etc.
● Proficiency with Ableton Push and other MIDI controllers in live performance.
● Expertise in creative musical production techniques, virtual instrument libraries and live contemporary media performance are highly desirable.
● Songwriting, arranging, and/or orchestration skills are highly desirable.
● One year of relevant teaching experience; prior college teaching experience is desirable.
● Master's degree (or higher) in music is required. Equivalent professional experience may be given equal consideration in lieu of a degree.
