Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays and overtime as required

SUMMARY Clean and prepare material to be reused in the assembly of off road heavy equipment components used in the construction, agriculture, commercial and mining industries. Cleaning of component parts may consist of using the following: various air, electric and or hand tools, cleaning solvent, small degreaser washer, solution tanks, ultra-sound cleaning tank, handheld high-pressure washer, and cabinet type pressure washing equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but are not limited to as other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure parts are clean and ready for inspection process with the use of various air and hand tools.
  • Keep work area, tooling and surrounding floor area clean, organized and uncluttered.
  • Know status of jobs and work orders that have been assigned to you.
  • Operate tactfully under pressure - courteous to co-workers.
  • Communicate, recognize, follow up and complete jobs that have been started by other team members.

  • Good mechanical skills and the use of air, electrical and or hand tools

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. At least one year mechanical work experience or equivalent education is preferred. Must be able to pass background/drug tests.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, suppliers, and other team members of the organization.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. However, the use of lifting equipment is recommended.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment requires the use of hearing protection.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Brake Supply requires that you wear steel toed safety shoes, equipped with metatarsal guard, and safety eye protection as required for this job. You are responsible for acquiring steel toed safety shoes that meet ANSI standards. Brake supply will supply you, safety eye protection appropriate for the position and meet ANSI standards. If you wear prescription glasses, and do not wish to wear over the glass, glasses, it is your responsibility to acquire safety frames and lenses that meet ANSI standards.

We are a no job description company. Although you will have primary responsibilities as detailed above, everyone is expected to do what is necessary to complete ANY given assignment, in order to service our customers.

The first 90 days of your employment are considered to be probationary. If you are unable to satisfactorily perform the job for which you are hired, you may be discharged anytime during the initial 90 day period.
