Martha's Vineyard Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatric Physician for their Pediatric Primary Care Practice.
The Pediatric Physician will:
• Provide the full scope of Pediatric Primary Care services that fall under his/her/their field of training, including but not limited to newborn care, pediatric inpatient care, stabilization for transport/transfer of pediatric patients, diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care and health maintenance. Educating patients about disease prevention and detection.
• Collaborate with other medical and non-medical personnel.
• Ensure coordination and appropriate referrals for patient care and access across services.
• Supervise Clinic APP(s) in performing clinical services as may be determined.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives in collaboration with the Medical Director.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• A Medical Degree and the successful completion of a residency in Pediatrics.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics and State License. If Board Eligible at the time of hire, must be Board Certified within 3 years of hire date.
• BLS and NRP.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) optional
• The ability to keep updated on the latest medical technologies.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good teamworking, leadership, and organizational skills.
