Summary
Provide administrative support for the Spaulding Cape Cod Outpatient Physician Clinic. Perform all activities associated with the daily operations of the clinic including scheduling, registration, coordination of diagnostic testing and specialty consults.
- Responds to calls from patients, doctor's offices, case managers, and insurance companies, in a professional manner. Accurately communicates accurate messages as needed.
- Patients are scheduled for initial evaluation, follow up and injection procedures according to department standards.
- Instructions are clearly communicated to patient.
- Patients are greeted during check in and the registration, insurance verification and co-pay functions are completed. Physicians are notified of patient arrival.
- External clinical information and diagnostics are obtained for all appointments and uploaded to EMR in accordance with department standards.
- Monitor all incoming referrals, correspondence, test results and process according to department standards.
- Coordinate external specialty consults and diagnostic testing. Obtain insurance authorizations for these appointments.
- Insurance approvals and documentation are recorded in the EMR in accordance with department standards.
- Clinic charges are reviewed for accuracy and routed to billing service.
- Customer service delivery is carried out to achieve stated goals.
- Additional department, organization, or network activities are completed per established objectives.
