Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:

Develops and maintains data collection, measurement tools, and databases to support data analysis in support of health improvement initiatives, value-based care programs, and other health outcome data monitoring requirements. Supports program implementation, measurement and assessment by developing reports, dashboards, scorecards, and other analytic results as necessary to support activities related to accountable care, managed care, remote patient monitoring and other goals. Manages technical aspects of health analytics to support operational needs and serves as the subject matter expert to support population health regarding claims data, value-based payer contracts, quality data and CRISP data. Develops and implements business development initiatives, business plans, clinical programs, population health and community outreach programs and key strategic partnerships.

JOB TASK LIST

  • Works closely with leadership to gather data, create reporting, and input key data and reports to support a variety of population health programs.
  • Works with claims data files and analytics tools to monitor aggregated and drilled down performance including risk adjusted efficiency and claims-based quality metrics
  • Works with the clinical and financial teams to identify trends and patterns in these complex data sets, draws conclusions, develops graphical and narrative summaries utilizing charts, graphs and images to appropriately display the information for presentation to stakeholders
  • Drives the design of financial and clinical outcomes reporting based on various sources including medical claims, disease registries, and electronic health records for population health activities, payer contracts, and the health plan.
  • Analyzes large amounts of clinical data and turns key findings into strategic recommendations for specific clinical areas.
  • Supports implementation initiatives for population health performance solutions.
  • Maintains current industry knowledge of healthcare financial, cost, reimbursement, market, regulatory and clinical trends, nationally and locally.
  • Supports reporting requirements for value-based programs including ECIP and EQIP programs including periodic reporting and review with clinical teams, to assess outcomes.
  • Validates information and data obtained and effectiveness of decision-making derived from information provided to and from end-users.
  • Supports all aspects of business planning and strategic analysis to support clinical and non-traditional business venture opportunities, evaluation and reporting as directed.
  • Assists with annual reporting process for MDPCP, MIPS and other value based and quality-based programs.
  • Supports the deployment, project management, tracking and growth of key digital health, remote patient monitoring and SDoH outreach programs. This includes the reporting, deployment, tracking and evaluation of efforts.

    Qualifications
    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Education & Training:

    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing or related field required. Master's Degree is preferred.

    Work Orientation & Experience:

    Minimum two (2) years' previous experience in health system or hospital industry with one (1) year of experience in health care strategy development required.

    Skills & Abilities:
    • Data literacy (ability to read, write, and communicate data in context)
    • Conceptual analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Strong writing skills and ability to synthesize and summarize key information for action
    • Data collection, manipulation, and analysis skills.
    • Comfort with working in a self-driven, start-up environment.
    • Interest in and active pursuit of opportunities to learn and grow, and ability to handle multiple demands, shifting priorities, crises, and rapid change
    • Knowledge of management, business planning, finance, and healthcare.
    • Working knowledge of finance, accounting, financial models, healthcare data, market and competitive analysis techniques.
    • Skill in report testing, and supporting end users in report testing process
    • Able to manage multiple tasks in an uncertain and fast-paced environment
    • Excellent analytical and/or operational problem-solving skills; demonstrates ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analyses and make recommendations for improvement/changes
    • Knowledge of health insurance claims structure and analytics, including GPRO/HEDIS Quality measures, risk adjustment methodologies, efficiency of care and utilization metrics.
    • Experience with large data sets, clinical quality measures, and claims analysis. Advanced skills in Excel and ease with data management (i.e. MS Access, SQL)
    • Skill in oral and written communication and time management with ability to effectively present to and facilitate groups
